The importance of teaching objectives

The objectives of any lesson is what I want my student to achieve at the end of the period of instructions. Having specific objectives help us to choose the method we wan to use, it guide us during the session, it help student to know where they are getting with learning, student will be actively engaged with the lesson and learning process becomes easier. There are three main learning objectives; cognitive, affective and psycho motor. Cognitive objectives deal with issues related to the mind and thinking, affective objectives deal with issues related to the learner's emotions, and psycho motor objectives deal with the physical perceptions of the learners. Teachers must have a very specific objectives as she must vary in their objectives, furthermore, she must evaluate the target objectives she had according to her student's performance, and this what make teaching easier.
